The Packer, Chris Kroger: “Divine Flavor’s Chilean Grape Season Emphasizes Flavor” (09/02/2020)
Divine flavor is switching over to imports of Chilean table grapes as the Peruvian program ends. Divine Flavor is anticipating decent volume and good quality from Chilean grape crop, despite drought conditions that can cost a 15% reduction of the crop. This year, Chilean grapes are offering more of the specialty flavored grapes, including Muscat Beauty, autumn crisp, and sweet globe. The Chilean grape program will take Divine Flavor through April, when the Jalisco, Mexico program takes over.
